Phantom Piano Music in the Grand Staircase Area

One of the most famous reports is the sound of piano music emanating from the grand staircase. Guests describe it as soft, melancholic, and nostalgic, often heard late at night when the suites are empty.

Some speculate the music may come from a former resident, a musician who once lived in the house. Others believe it is the lingering presence of a benevolent spirit.

Flickering Lights and Cold Spots in Upstairs Hallways

Another commonly reported phenomenon is the flickering of lights, often accompanied by sudden cold spots. Guests staying in upstairs suites have noted that lights dim and brighten without explanation, and temperatures can drop abruptly.

While some attribute this to old wiring, the consistent reports suggest supernatural activity, making these hallways a hotspot for paranormal investigations.

Gentle Touches and Friendly Ghostly Encounters

Some visitors have experienced fleeting touches on their shoulder or arm, often when no one is nearby. These encounters are described as gentle and reassuring, suggesting a friendly spirit may be present.

This phenomenon adds to the venue’s allure as a haunted destination, appealing to those interested in ghost hunting and paranormal tourism.

We had a BUNCH of personal experiences while there! We reviewed all the first floor devices with absolutely no results.

We reviewed the cameras on the second floor and heres whats weird. Nothing on the camera in the hall but it picked up the loud crash that came from either the bathroom or attic area off of the birthing room. 

My investigaters saw a shadow pass across the bathroom in the Sam Rayburn room but that camera somehow changed its angle just enough to not catch anything but a wall. Then that camera went on and off several times. It was a battle just keeping them on lol. 

The only voices we got on our recorders was ours. The camera in the birthing room turned itself off and would not come back on. The one on the landing did record but shut itself off and when we tried to turn it back on, it acted like it was dead....yet when we got back home and turned it on it worked perfectly and the battery was 1/2 full. 

Something weird is going on lol! The first team lost their data to a power loss that never happened before. Our cameras that have worked perfectly in other locations, kept turning off and on while on location. I think your ghosties dont like investigators snooping around. 

We did get some interesting responses to our questions during the estes method and spirit box sessions.

On one occassion our investigator, Melinda, stated she felt someone touching her leg. We asked if they were touching her legs and our spirit box response was "I plea the 5th". Thats a response I have never, ever heard come from that or any other device. The other interesting response was when the box said "leave" and Melinda asked "who do you want to leave". The spirit box said "purple hair". Another response Ive never heard on that or any other device. 

Everyone on the team heard footsteps walking the attic and crashes, bangs and bumps in the birthing room bathroom. 

We did not find any other "legal" recorded hangings besides the 3 we talked about. I do feel like 11 year Roma's hanging was very close if not on your property. We seemed to get vague answers that led us to believe that her hanging is somehow tied to your property on either past or present boundries.

When we arrived we got a tour of the home from the caretakers. We were standing by the stairwell and I wanted to see what was in that TV room/Living Room area. As soon as I crossed the threshold of the door, a penny fell down by my feet, seemingly out of nowhere. I had nothing in my pockets, and was not carrying my purse. This perplexed us the whole night, we cannot explain where it came from. We heard it drop and hit the floor.

When we were in the room right at the top stairs, Tiffany was sitting on the bed and I was kneeling next to the bed, with my back towards the chair that is said to move. I started looking around the room and noticed a black T-Shirt balled up under the chair. We asked the caretakers about it, they said they were 100% sure there was nothing there, as they had vacuumed the room before we got there.

Now for the strangest thing. We were in the room at the top of the stairs and we were talking about how we weren't getting that much evidence. We were tossing around ideas about it being residual (like a tape playing) or intelligent, trying to make sense of what was going on in the home. We ended up giving the spirits a "pep talk". We explained to them that we were there to learn about them, that you guys loved the home and loved the history and just want to know who is here so they can continue to be part of the legacy of the home. Just really stressing our intent and that we just wanted to know their stories. Nothing happened. So we went and sat on the 3 stairs that go up to the other bedrooms and not 1 minute after sitting down, the ENTIRE power to the WHOLE house went out. For like 10 seconds, everything was black and dead. After the power came back on we went and asked the caretakers and they said this has never happened before. As soon as we started investigating again after the power outage, we started getting tons of activity. Spirt box responses, REM pod responses, something was trying to communicate. When we turned the spirit box on, the first word out of it was "intelligent".

All in all, it was a great investigation and all it did was peak our interest into the haunting at your location. We believe it is intelligent, that there are multiple entities there and none of them are negative or harmful in any way. They love the home, like you do. Some ideas we had, maybe install some security cameras in the main areas, this will help you catch any evidence that does occur, help you disprove/prove any experiences and it may help add an extra layer of security to your business. Another idea is to put guest books in each room. This is a wonderful way to capture any experiences your guests may have and also let them tell you how wonderful of a stay they had at your B&B. We would LOVE to come back and see if we get more evidence now that the spirits are familiar with us.

We heard the voices upstairs while we were there, and we had a camera on it. 

One of the cameras fried and the Sd Cards format went hay wire. 

We are still working on resetting them and seeing what evidence we can pull from them.

Once we get something concrete I'll send it over.
