Piano Music Near the Grand Staircase
One of the most frequently cited reports involves the sound of piano music near the grand staircase area — described by visitors as soft, melancholic, and nostalgic. It is most often reported late at night. Some visitors have speculated a connection to a former resident. The source has not been identified.

Flickering Lights and Cold Spots in Upstairs Hallways
Guests in the upstairs suites have reported lights dimming and brightening without explanation, often accompanied by abrupt drops in temperature. The flickering and cold spots tend to occur in the same areas, and have been reported consistently enough to attract attention from visiting investigator groups.
Reported across multiple visits. Old wiring has been noted as a possible mundane explanation.
Gentle Touches on Shoulders and Arms

Investigator Accounts
From Visiting Paranormal Groups
These groups contacted the property independently and shared their accounts afterward. Their visits are presented here for historical and informational context. Four Winds does not coordinate, schedule, or offer investigations.
Upon arriving and beginning their walk-through near the stairwell, an investigator reported a penny dropping to the floor near her feet from no apparent source — she had nothing in her pockets. The team described this as one of the first unexplained occurrences of the night.
Later, in a room at the top of the stairs, investigators noticed a black T-shirt under a chair. When they asked caretakers about it, they confirmed the room had been vacuumed before the group arrived and nothing had been left there.
The team also experienced a complete, brief power outage affecting the whole property — described by caretakers as something that had not happened before. Equipment that had malfunctioned during the investigation was found to be fully functional once the team returned home.
Texpart Paranormal concluded they believed the activity at the property to be intelligent rather than residual, and described all apparent entities as non-negative and connected to the home.
This group reported hearing voices upstairs during their investigation, with camera coverage in place. One camera malfunctioned during the session, with the SD card corrupted in a way the team described as unusual. They were still working to recover data at the time they submitted their account.
Their account closed with gratitude for access to what they described as a great historic property.
