Bonham is a small town with walkable streets and easy access to outdoor space. The downtown square is a short walk from the property — good for stretching legs after a drive from Dallas or the Metroplex.
Bois d'Arc Lake, one of the newest reservoir lakes in Texas, is roughly 10 minutes away and offers open land and shoreline access. If your dog needs room to move after a road trip, that's the closest option.
Lake Bonham Recreation Area is another nearby option — a smaller, quieter lake within the city limits. Check local park rules before arrival as pet policies for specific areas vary.
Cottage guests park in the back lot, one spot directly behind your cottage. Overflow parking is available in the rear lot as well. Trailers and RVs are permitted; towing is at the owner's discretion.
